ATTENTION PSR PARENTS:
New PSR Policy — Effective 5/2/2017
Students enrolling in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton PSR program for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes must be registered members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and regularly attending Holy Mass here. Students must have been registered in PSR the prior year (their 1st grade and 7th grade year). They must attend at least 3/4’s of the classes both in 1st and 2nd grade and 7th and 8th grade to receive those Sacraments. Parents must attend the parent meeting for those children preparing for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. All children 1st –12th grade should be attending PSR Catholic Religious Education Classes. All students attending PSR classes and leaving without attending Holy Mass is unacceptable.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION (PSR)
The PSR Program at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church provides religious formation for grades 5K-8. Students will learn about their faith through discussion, text material, prayer and activities. Classes are held in the Parish Hall from August-May from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The class schedule is available online for your reference.
Sacramental Preparation
First Reconciliation (Penance) and First Holy Eucharist
2nd Grade – Our sacramental program works with the families of our PSR students to prepare our children to receive our Lord in the Eucharist. Preparation begins in August and continues until a special Mass in May. Registration forms for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation (Penance) are available online for your convenience.
Confirmation
8th Grade – The PSR program works closely with the Youth Group to prepare our youth for the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation begins in August and continues through May. The 8th grade candidates are required to attend the Youth Retreat hosted by the Youth Group as part of their preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Confirmation candidates also lead the youth retreat for grades 5th-7th, working closely with the Youth Group as team leaders. The Confirmation registration form is available online for your convenience.

ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON YOUTH GROUP
The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Youth Group consists of 9th grade through college aged youth. We meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year from 6:00 - 8pm. Our evening is comprised of gathering time, a lesson concerning today’s issues and our response as Catholics, discussion, 15 minutes of Adoration in the Church with our Lord, dinner and an activity. The youth group is also responsible for creating and leading two (2) youth retreats each year. The first retreat is a requirement for the Confirmation candidates and the second is for the 5th – 7th grade PSR students. The Confirmation Candidates also join in to lead the younger youth retreat.
In addition, our youth group participates in fun bonding activities (lock-ins, canoe trips, six flags, volleyball, pool parties, bonfires, etc.), and excursions that include community service projects to put our faith into action.
Growing in holiness is a lifelong journey! Come join us and experience continued growth in your faith, your friendships, and fellowship with others on the same spiritual path!

ADULT RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Our Adult-lead scripture study takes place in the Parish Hall from 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m., and usually follows the PSR schedule providing an opportunity for all adults of the parish, but especially adults with school age children, to grow in holiness by participating in this adult group study while children are attending religious formation in PSR. Material is not limited to Bible study, but inspirational books as well.
All are welcome! Growing in holiness is a lifelong journey! Come join us and experience continued growth in your faith, your friendships, and fellowship with others on the same spiritual path!
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)
RCIA is a program for individuals who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church. Adults who have not been baptized or those who have been baptized in other Christian denominations are invited to explore the Catholic faith through a process of study, reflection, worship and service. Classes are held once a week on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall from September to Easter. Please contact the Parish Office for more information, 631-9398.
